In 1997 the founder, Luc Vermeersch, started experimenting with a small 30 litres capacity micro-brewery. After 10 years of brewing and experimenting he attended a one-year brewery course. During this training, the idea of a larger brewery fermented. In April 2008 Brewery De Leite was born and recently expanded by buying the Paljas brand.
